8th Annual Edition

The 8th WOMEN IN TECH ® Global Awards, held in 2025, was a landmark event honoring extraordinary women, allies, and initiatives reshaping the future of technology. This edition united 65 remarkable finalists from 52 countries across seven regions, reflecting the organization’s long-standing commitment to diversity, inclusion, and global progress in the tech sector.

Across a three-month journey that spanned continents—from Kyoto (APAC) to Panama City (LATAM), Toronto (North America), Johannesburg (Africa), Almaty (Caucasus & Central Asia), Brussels (Europe), and the Middle East—the global spotlight settled in Paris at the iconic Palais du Luxembourg for a spectacular celebration of achievement and aspiration.

A Global Tour of Inspiration

This year’s world tour of regional finals epitomized the spirit of Women in Tech: connection, innovation, and empowerment without borders. At each iconic location, the movement uplifted trailblazers, role models, and rising talents who are breaking barriers and setting new standards for what is possible.

The grand finale in Paris at the Palais du Luxembourg brought together pioneers, policymakers, and thought leaders to celebrate the outstanding winners in an atmosphere of unity and inspiration.

Global Awards Conference 2025: Amplifying Voices and Shaping Futures

The afternoon preceding the WOMEN IN TECH ® Global Awards 2025 was brought to life by a dynamic Conference hosted at the renowned École des Ponts Business School in Paris, gathering finalists, partners, and stakeholders in an atmosphere of learning, inspiration, and collaboration.

The Conference opened with the vibrant panel “The Future is Fierce,” featuring Youth Regional Winners whose personal stories and bold visions illuminated the pathway for the next generation of tech leaders. Their candid dialogue provided a powerful reminder of youth innovation’s essential role in shaping equitable societies and sustainable digital economies.

A fireside chat followed, with Sasha Rubel from Amazon and Kathryn Rose, bringing together corporate perspective and entrepreneurial leadership. Their conversation explored strategies for harnessing technology as a lever for inclusive growth, sharing concrete advice on overcoming barriers and driving impact at scale.

The panel “The Future is Partnered” spotlighted the vital importance of collaboration and strategic alliances in tackling global challenges—from advancing STEM education to addressing gender gaps in technology. Sara Wadeson, Titi Akinsanmi, and Erika Reeves shared actionable insights on building resilient ecosystems and fostering partnerships that move the needle on diversity and innovation.

To close, WOMEN IN TECH ® Regional Directors took the stage, sharing transformative stories of impact across the world. Nyla Beth Gawel, Melissa Slaymaker, Jessica Freundt, Yuki Aizawa, and Safia Agueni exemplified the diverse, grassroots leadership powering the movement’s global reach and progress.
